Obituary – Feliciano “Chano” Carrillo

Feliciano “Chano” Carrillo, was born on May 26, 1971 to Manuel V. Carrillo and Antonia Sanchez Carrillo in Van Horn.  He had a passion for football and sports.  He was a graduate of Van Horn High School Class of 1990.
 
Chano’s proudest moment happened on June 1993, when his son, Feliciano Jr., was born.
 
Chano lived most of his life in Van Horn.  During 2007, he moved to Pecos, Texas with his family where he remained until his untimely death on August 12, 2015 
He will be remembered as a caring, good-hearted son, brother, nephew, father, uncle, and cousin to his family members.  His friends will remember him as the guy who loved to dance, tell jokes, and have a good time.  Chano was the world’s greatest Chicago Bears fan.  

He spent most of his time collecting everything that had to do with “his” Bears.  Music was also a big part of his life.  He enjoyed singing a familiar song and dancing to his favorite beat.  Chano will be greatly missed.  

Chano is survived by his son Feliciano Carrillo Jr., of Odessa; his father, Manuel V. Carrillo of Van Horn.  Chano is also survived by his brother Jose Manuel “May” Carrillo and his wife Michelle, and their family Jose Manuel Jr., niece Illichim and husband Steven Williams, great nephew Quintrelle Amir of New Braunfels.  Chano is also survived by his brother Antonia Carrillo and his wife Erica, and their sons Matthew and Ryan of Monahans and brother Luis Orlando Carrillo and fiancé Marcella Tarango of Hobbs New Mexico.
 
Chano had numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.  He was preceded in death by his mother, Antonia Sanchez Carrillo, and his nephew Luis Orlando “OJ” Carrillo.  
Chano was buried at Van Horn Cemetery on Tuesday, Aug. 16. Funeral services were entrusted to Heritage Funeral Home of Van Horn.
