Phil has shared inspirational and Southwestern Gospel music for over forty years in churches and other gatherings throughout Arizona, Utah and California, as well as overseas while serving in the Navy. Since 1992, he has been busy sharing his music and testimony in concerts across the United States, and has blessed many people with his pleasant baritone voice. His singing style goes beyond entertainment by bringing out the meaning behind the words and his concerts minister encouragement as well as challenging the listeners to grow in their faith. His ministry also includes some teachings and counseling and periodically, he publishes a Ministry Letter to challenge and encourage his readers.
The churches here he has ministered continue to invite him back and his ministry has grown considerably due to the reports from pastors. One pastor wrote, I have found Phil Dickey to be a very good minister of Christ. He is not just a performer, but a caring Christian. He and his wife, Joy, do a good job of sharing Christ’s love with other. I highly recommend Phil and Joy to the churches.
Although Phil was born in Carvallis, Oregon, he called Arizona his home for many years. He studied music at Pheonix College, while majoring in business and served in the Pacific Fleet during the Vietnam conflict. He and Joy have two adult children, seven grandchildren and have developed a great burden for the churches in modern day America.
