Dear Editor:
The superintendent of a school district sets the direction and tone while responding to the often challenging demands of the board of trustees, administrators, teachers, parents, students and the community. The superintendent is the CEO of the school district.
Mrs. Dalia Benavides is our CEO of CCAISD and we, as the school board, would like to sincerely thank her for her generous support and strategic planning on the successful passing of our school bond – Proposition 1. As we all know, this took teamwork to successfully pass. As the leader of our schools, she took every ounce of her time and effort to make sure we (as a board, staff, and community) did our part to not only pass this bond by a marginal vote, but to win by considerable amount and we did just that! She knew what was right for the students and staff of CCAISD. The extensive work she continues to put forth not only solidifies her efforts to CCAISD but also demonstrates the heart of a true leader, and we’re proud to call her OUR LEADER.
Mrs. Benavides, although a simple thank you is not enough, know that your leadership is very much appreciated and we, as a whole, couldn’t have done this without you and your extensive efforts.
