Dear Tia,

I used to enjoy Facebook as a way to keep in touch with family and old friends and to find out about events, birthdays, anniversaries, etc.  Now, I have to scroll through dozens of postings about people looking for manure for their crops on Farmville, or one-word postings like, “Sad.”  Of course, this is followed by dozens of “likes” and comments from nosey people who take the bait to ask the poster why they are sad…and how can people “like” posts about illnesses or sad events?  Even these posts are not as bad as the bogus one that proclaim that Facebook will implant a chip in your brain unless you post that you don’t give them permission to do so!  Makes me so angry that sometimes I just want to close my FB account…for at least an hour!

Dear SMH,

Go to “preferences” where you will have the choice to block or at least hide all the annoying games, drama queens, and “Mexican-Americans for Trump.”  Seriously, FB has evolved as more people participate, but it should not replace human contact and face-to-face interaction.  Enjoy it for what it was meant to be and nothing more…anything posted will be forgotten in a few scrolls so LOL and move on.

not to wear them with sandals!
