Parents can take advantage of the state’s tax-free weekend stating tomorrow, August 5 through Sunday, August 7.  Shoppers can get tax exemption for most clothing, footwear, school supplies and backpacks priced under $100. This means parents can save about $8 for every $100 spent.  All sales of qualifying items made during the holiday period qualify for the exemption, including items sold online, or by telephone or mail.

CCAISD Principal Kittie Gibson said that all students that registered this week received paperwork that includes individual grades school supply lists for the school year which starts Monday, August 22.  “We have a whole link on the CCAISD page that is designated for all back to school information,” said Principal Gibson.  The webpage contains all of the information needed for the new school year, including the school calendar, registration information, and supply lists.  Any and all updates will be posted on the site at www.ccaisd.net/schools/back_to_school.

Additional information from the school is a scheduled “Meet the Teachers” on Thursday, August 18 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. for all grades.
