Hazel Irene Walker was born February 28, 1916 in Coon Rapids, Iowa. She went home to be with God on October 12, 2016 at “ a hundred and a half” in her own words. She was a great lady that touched many people. All of us were honored to have her in our lives and we benefit from the example she set for us. Her family wishes to let her many friends know there will be a memorable service on October 22 at the Highway 54 Church of Christ in Van Horn, Texas at 10:00 AM Central time, lunch provided by the Church of Christ and the Baptist women, and a graveside service at the Dean Cemetery at Crowflat, New Mexico, 2:00 PM Mountain time, refreshments at the Dean residence afterwards. Adrian N. Sanchez
Adrian N. Sanchez, age 28, passed away on October 7, 2016 in Van Horn, Texas. He was born on July 20, 1987 in Van Horn, to Arturo G. Sanchez Sr. and Delia Sanchez. Adrian enjoyed spending time with his family and friends; he was a true fan of the Dallas Cowboys and the L.A. Dodgers. He is survived by his two sons; Adrian Francisco Sanchez and Jesus Javier “JJ” Sanchez and his daughter Briseyda Anna Lee Sanchez all of Odessa, his father Arturo Sanchez, his three brothers; Arturo Sanchez Jr., and Mario Villanueva, Alfredo N. Sanchez, Alvino Sanchez and his wife Alicia all of Van Horn, He is also survived by his five cousins; Michael Rivera, Inez Vargas, Marisol Abreo, Stephanie Urbina, and Ida Martinez. A funeral mass was held at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church on Thursday, October 13, 2016, with Father Antonio Martinez officiating. Burial followed at Van Horn Cemetery. Pallbearers were: Vince Enriquez, Jeremy Tarango, Junior Quintana, Michael Rivera, Alvino Sanchez and Alonso Valle. Honorary pallbearers were; Javier Urbina Jr., Chris Carrasco, Frankie Jimenez, Alvarito Jimenez, Alfredo Jimenez, Johnny Munoz, Richard Fuentes, Joey Anchondo, Bryan Rivera, Christopher Corrales and Luis Navarrette. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Heritage Funeral Home.
