Veronica Nichole Calderon, a 2007 Valentine High School graduate, received her Master of Business Administration degree from Texas A & M University of San Antonio on December 14.  She is the daughter of Mayor Jesus “Chuy” and Viola Calderon of Valentine.  She had previously received her Bachelor’s degree in Phycology from the University of Incarnate Word in San Antonio.

Veronica currently works in small business management. She is part of the managing team that oversees operations for two businesses privately owned by Rad McCombs, the CEO of McCombs Partners.  Her titles include Human Resources Manager, wedding events planner, transportation coordinator and administrative assistant to the managing partner.  She enjoys the ever changing environment and the creative freedom given to her by her employers.  She loves and is grateful for the network of people she has been given the opportunity to meet through her position.

One of the businesses Ms. Calderon works for is Paloma Pachanga, a world class dove hunting ranch.  Her company also just acquired their nearby competition making them one of the largest dove hunting operations in the state of Texas.

Veronica plans to stay in her current position and help assist with the new acquisition and other expansion plans and any other business opportunities afforded to her.
