Four RBI Day For Virdell Leads Van Horn Lady Eagles Past Anthony

·         Van Horn Lady Eagles defeated Anthony 26-3 on Tuesday thanks in part to Kristianne Virdell, who drove in four runners.  Virdell drove in runs on a walk in the first, a double in the first, and a single in the second.

·         Van Horn Lady Eagles secured the victory thanks to 16 runs in the first inning.  Van Horn Lady Eagles’s big inning was driven by a walk by Kristianne Virdell, a walk by Tabitha Carrillo, a single by Makayla Torres, a walk by Catherine Ojeda, a single , a double by Amanda Ramirez, a double by Celeste Ramirez, a double by Virdell, a single by Bea Marta, a single by Ojeda, a double by Jaclyn Lucas, and a single by Ramirez.

·         Amanda Ramirez earned the win for Van Horn Lady Eagles. She threw three innings, allowing three runs, four hits, and striking out three.

·         Van Horn Lady Eagles collected 24 hits.  Lucas, Marta, Virdell, Marlen Ceniceros, Torres, Ramirez, Ojeda, and Carrillo each collected multiple hits for Van Horn Lady Eagles.  Lucas went 4-for-4 at the plate to lead Van Horn Lady Eagles in hits.  Van Horn Lady Eagles didn’t commit a single error in the field. Ojeda had nine chances in the field, the most on the team.
