Emiterio M. Muro, age 89, passed away on April 27, 2017 in Midland, TX. Emiterio was born on March 3, 1928 in San Antonio Del Bravo, Chihuahua, Mexico to Trinidad and Carlota Muro.
He is survived by his wife Julia S. Muro of Seminole, TX. His four sons: Nacho Muro and his wife Mary of Seminole, TX, Tony Muro and his wife Juana of Seminole, TX, Angel Muro of Odessa, TX, Gilbert Muro of Big Lake, TX, his six daughters: Mary Lou Perrez of Midland, TX, Hermosinda Florez and her husband Lorenzo of San Angelo, TX, Inez M. Tarango and her husband Michael Rodriguez of Stanton, TX, Chonita S. Muro and her husband Gilbert Castillo of Midland, TX, Yoly S. Muro of Midland, TX, and Ellie Muro and her husband Jr Castillo of Seminole, TX. Emiterio is also survived by his two brothers: Jose Muro of Fresno, CA, Manuel Muro of Hobbs, NM, and one sister: Tomasa Mendoza.
Emiterio was blessed with 33 grandchildren, 93 great grandchildren and 4 great, great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents Trinidad and Carlota, his son Ruben S. Muro, his granddaughter Erica Marie Muro, his grandsons Isaac G. Muro and Ricky C. Florez, his brothers Vivian M. Muro, Vicente M. Muro, his sisters Francisca Muro, Maria M. Guillen, and Sofia M. Licon.
A funeral mass was held on April 29, 2017 at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in Van Horn, TX officiated by Father Apolinar Samboni. Pallbearers were: Emiterio Muro, Julian M. Florez, Freddy Muro, Ruben Muro Jr, Tony Romero, Steven Tarango, Dolores Muro Pantoja and Lionel Villanueva. Honorary pallbearers were: Lorenzo Florez, Joey Muro, Tony Muro Jr, Richard Tarango, Harvey Florez and in memory Bryan Reyez.
The burial followed at the Van Horn Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Heritage Funeral Home of Van Horn.
