Obituaries – Virginia Watts

Virginia (Ginny) Watts left this earth to be with her Lord on May 2 in Houston.  She was 89 years old.  Ginny was born on October 13, 1927 in Amarillo.  She grew-up in San Antonio and Marfa where she met and married her beloved husband Jack.  She lived in Van Horn over 60 years before moving to Houston in 2015.

Ginny was the Society Editor for the Van Horn Advocate for many years and a homemaker.  She was an active member of the First Baptist Church in Van Horn and was devoted to God, her family, and her church.

Ginny was preceded in death by her husband Jack of 55 years in 2001.  She is survived by her daughter Janell Stratton of Houston, her son Randy Watts and wife Stella of Alpine, her grandchildren Samuel Stratton and wife Esther, Shay Stratton, Chris Watts, Ricky Victorino, and Mari Gonzales.  Her great grandchildren Adalyn Stratton, Gigi Stratton, Selah Stratton, Simeon Stratton, Chris Watts, Victor Vega, and Destiny Gonzales.

A private memorial was held on May 11 at the Van Horn cemetery.  She will be greatly missed.
