The Eagle Cross Country teams competed in Monahans last week, and continue to improve on their times. 7th Grader Bryce Virdell started the day by placing 6th in JH Boys. Felipe “Nators” Gonzales won his first medal of the season and placed 20th in JV Boys, and Nate Yglecias continues to improve and placed 13th in JH Boys. Senior Mariah Morales just missed finishing in the Top 20 and placed 21st in Varsity Girls. Nathaniel Arrazate ran great race and finished 10th in Varsity Boys.
The Eagles are off this week, and continue to train as they prepare for District. The next meet is the Big Bend Rambler in Alpine scheduled for Sept. 29.
