The Van Horn High School Cross Country teams competed in the District 6 2A meet in Iraan on Monday.
In the Varsity Girls division, JR Stephannie Estrada did not compete due to an injury sustained during the season. SR Mariah Morales ran a tough race, but placed 19th and will not advance to Regionals.
The Varsity Boys will advance to Regionals as a team. SR Nathaniel Arrazate placed 5th and JR Brian Dominguez placed 8th which earned them medals. FR Nate Yglecias missed placing in the Top 10 by three seconds.
The team will complete in Regionals on October 23 in Lubbock. The team has T-shirt for sale, check the CCAISD Facebook page for ordering information.
