A 2016 Peterbilt truck’s semitrailer became a hood ornament for a Union Pacific train last Thursday at John Connelly Road about 10 miles East of Van Horn near mile marker 153. The driver attempted to cross the railroad tracks northbound when he failed to clear the crossing and was struck by a train. No injuries were reported
