Debra Holmes White was called home on January 27 She was born February 6, 1953 to Kenneth and Imogene Holmes of Van Horn. Debra loved her family, cherished her children, adored her grandchildren and was a faithful follower of Jesus Christ. An avid sports fan, she loved watching the Dallas Mavericks, Texas Rangers, Midland Christian Mustangs and Texas Tech Red Raiders. Debra enjoyed skiing, dancing, lake living, music, animals, laughing, loving and finding fun in everything she did.

With a heart of gold, Debra always cared for others before herself. She was a wonderful wife, mother, mother-in-law, sister, aunt, cousin and friend to countless individuals. She lived a full and busy life and will be missed dearly by the many whose lives and hearts she touched.

Debra was preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth and Imogene Holmes. She is survived by husband Brad of 43 years of Granbury, Texas; son Ben and wife Merideth, grandchildren Nixon and Briggs of Plano, Texas; son Jacob and wife Macy of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; sister Pat Kennedy and husband Tom of San Antonio; brother Ron Holmes, wife Leta of Abilene; brother Don Holmes, wife Karen of San Antonio, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral Service will be Saturday, February 3 at First United Methodist Church, 300 N. Main, in Midland with Chaplain Jeff Matsler at 1:00 p.m.

Jesus Sanchez Franco

Jesus Sanchez Franco passed away on January 24 at the age of 68. He was born on January 7, 1950 in Por Venir, Texas to Gonzalo and Juanita Sanchez Franco.  On January 28, 1972 he married Natividad Hinojos in Van Horn.  Mr. Franco is survived by his wife Natividad, sons Javier Franco and wife Emily of San Antonio, Jesse Jr. and wife Mandy of San Antonio, David Franco of McAllen, Ricardo Franco and wife Erin of Reno, Nevada, siblings Maria Franco of Bakersfield, Califirnia, Efren Franco of San Antonio, Lube Hinojas, Ruben Franco, Virginia Franco Ruiz all of Odessa.

Visitation will be on Sunday January 28 from 11:00 a.m.  – 3:00 p.m. in the Fredericksburg Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be on Monday January 29 at 10:00 a.m. in the Fredericksburg Funeral Home with Rev. Mario Hernandez and Rev. Bob Welch officiating. Interment to follow at Der Stadt Friedhof.
